⛰️ Akosombo's ridges and forest
⛰️ The hills round Akosombo are now real ridges: sharp crests and deep ravines, grey rock on the steep faces, emerald slopes and red laterite earth. A layered forest covers them: tall hardwoods, silk-cotton trees standing above the canopy, fan-shaped traveller's palms and elephant grass, with leaves that glow when the sun is behind them. Red dirt hiking paths wind up three of the hills, and morning mist settles in the valleys.
